Sharpless 207 + 208

Sharpless 207 (LBN 708, Simeis 28 and others) is a small emission nebula located approximately 11,100 light-years away in Camelopadalis. This one surrounds open cluster Mayer 2.

Sharpless 208 (open cluster Waterloo 1, also part of LBN 708 and others) is the smaller nebula below Sh2-207. It is located approximately 24,800 light-years away.

Ha – 32x1800s – 960 minutes – binned 1x1
Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 10:8:10x300s – 50:40:50 minutes each – binned 2x2

1340 minutes total exposure – 22 hours 20 minutes

Imaged over ten nights in October, 2018, December 2019 and January and February, 2020 from Animas, New Mexico with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
