The Wizard Nebula (NGC 7380)

This is an image of NGC7380, also known as the Wizard Nebula. The NGC7380 catalog number actually refers to the open cluster of stars within the nebula. The actual nebula is a complex of emission, reflection, and dark nebulas referred to as SH2-142. It is about 7200 light years away in the constellation of Cepheus.

Telescope: TEC-140 (F7)

Camera: SBIG ST-8300M

Mount: AP900 GTO

Luminance: 18x20 minutes (1x1)

Red: 8x15 minutes (2x2)

Green: 8x15 minutes (2x2)

Blue: 8x15 minutes (2x2)
