After the crowds left following annularity, we kept shooting, and happened to be in just the right location to photograph the sun passing through a distant wind farm at sunset. The photographs show the three-levels of nearby hills, with the wind turbines backlit by the sun. We estimate that the windmills were at least 20 miles from us. Sunspots are visible on the sun, as well as outlines of mountains on the moon.
We used a Baader Astrosolar filter and Narrowband Oxygen III Filter on Meade 8" Schmidt Newtonian, Losmandy G-11 Mount, and Modified Cannon 400D. 1 millisecond photos taken sequentially, and processed in Nebulosity and Photofilre. The Landscape photo was taken without the Astrosolar filter, and this was combined with the filtered images of the sun in photofilre to give perspective.
