Hey Folks,
I'm a 44 year old dad of 6, ranging in ages from 26 to 7 (the 7 year olds are identical twin boys). I was about 8 years old when I got my first scope. A cheap 3in Bushnell refractor, but it was enough to awaken a fever in me that has never cooled. I wanted to be a professional astronomer when I was a child, but as life would have it, it had other plans in store for me, so I ended up with a degree in network security instead. Anyway, I recently got my new Celestron Nexstar 4. I remember wanting the motor powered telescopes since I saw the old Meades in the back of the Astronomy magazines in the mid eighies. Well, now I have one, albeit its a celestron and not a Meade. But still, that little boy has awoken with a fire that is almost out of control. I'd be lying if I said I haven't been recently tempted to throw my hands up and become a full time astrophotographer.
Anyway, clear skies to you, and in the words of Jack Horkeimer, "Keep looking up"
