My interest in astronomy began when I was a nine year old in SW Virginia. I drove my parents crazy in my desire for a telescope and by doing yard work enough money was mine to place an order to Criterion Mfg. in Hartford, Connecticut for a little draw tube refractor which offered a whopping 60X. Surprisingly, the little scope produces a decent image of the lunar craters and it has a place of honor in its 63rd year.
At this point in time I use a 10 inch Newtonian and have sold my Criterion RV-6 and 90mm ETX. I'm not as active as I once was but still love astronomy.
Oh by the way, my name is Tom.
Clear skies to all.....
