NGC 1792 + 1808 + 1827 - The Columba Trio

NGC 1808 (PGC 16779, ESO 305-8 and many others) is the barred spiral at the center of the image. Distance estimates put this one between 22 and 44 million light-years away in Columba.

NGC 1792 (PGC 16709, ESO 305-0, ESO 305-6 and many others) is the spiral at the bottom right. Distance estimates on this one are between 31 and 54 million light-years away.

NGC 1827 (PGC 16849, ESO 362-6 and others) is the some-what edge one spiral at the top left. It is approximately 33 million light-years away.

Luminance – 12x600s – 120 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

240 minutes total exposure – 4 hours

Imaged on January 14th and 15th, 2021 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
