NGC 2245 + 2247

NGC 2247 (Ced 81, DG 109, LBN 901 and others) is the reflection nebula near the top left.

NGC 2245 (Ced 80, DG 108, LBN 904 and others) is the reflection nebula near the bottom right.

Both of these are located less than two degrees from the Christmas Tree Cluster in Monoceros.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours

Imaged December 19th, 20th and 21st, 2020 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
