Arp 65 (NGC 90, UGC 208, PGC 1405 and others) is a stretched spiral located approximately 235 million light-years away in Andromeda. This one is part of Arp’s ‘Spiral Galaxies with small, high surface brightness companions’ class.
This field includes a lot of other galaxies including:
NGC 93 (UGC 209, PGC 1412 and others) to the left (east) of Arp 65.
NGC 80 (UGC 203, PGC 1351 and others) is the large galaxy on the right (west) side of the field.
NGC 83 (UGC 206, PGC 1371 and others) is the galaxy north of NGC 80 near the three bright stars.
Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2
360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours
Imaged December 24th, 26th and 30th, 2018 and January 3rd, 2019 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
