Sirius B aka "The Pup"

With a 10,000 fold difference in brightness, Sirius B, 'The Pup', always lies in the glare of the brightest star in the night sky.  A hex mask, high power, and most importantly good seeing, enables viewing and imaging Sirius B when it is not too close in angular separation from the primary.   I had to make numerous exposures before getting steady enough air to collar this puppy!  It's still not too late to view Sirius B this spring before it vanishes in the solar glow.
