The Andromeda Galaxy (M31)

Imaged August 12, 2010. This image was taken from one of the KW RASC (Kitchener-Waterloo Royal Astronomical Society of Canada) dark sites about 45min NW of K-W. The image details are: 2hr 40min total of 5min exposures using a Skywatcher Equinox 80mm refractor with a William Optics 0.8x FF/reducer at 400mm FL. The refractor was piggybacked on a Celestron CPC800, Milburn wedge mounted, for tracking. Canon 350XT modded. Autoguided with an Orion SSAG and PHD. Acquisition, calibration, align/stack were done in Nebulosity and the image was processed in PS CS5.
