Bode's Galaxy (M81) and the Cigar Galaxy (M82)

M81 - The Bode's Galaxy, is one of the most perfect example of a spiral galaxy with both arms spiraling into the core. Dwarf galaxy Holmberg IX is visible.

M82 - The Cigar Galaxy, have a most interesting feature at the core's galaxy an active starbust region easily visible as red "projections"

Data acquisition at Muxagata, Portugal (MPC J15) last 13 February 2010.

Telescope: Takahashi FS102NSV @ f/8

Mount: ATLAS EQmod

Camera: QSI532WS - M1

Guiding: Takahashi FS60C + QHY5

Filters: L,R,B

Total exposure time: 348 min (L: 192min, R: 84min, B: 72min)

For the G channel I used a mix of R and B.
