Viewing the rising sun through the Parthenon (the most important ancient Greek temple in the world - 5th century B.C.) from a large distance is a magnificent sight. Here is an effort from May 2008 (my fisrt succesful attempt was in July 2007). Some careful calculations are needed to find the right position of perspective, but good light balance is also needed.  Bresser Skylux 70mm refractor, Canon EOS 400D, ISO 200, exp. 1/320.
