Theseion is the best preserved
ancient Greek temple, built in 5th century B.C.
It's geographical position is not as prominent
as the Parthenon and close to buildings today, not very favorable for
photographing it together with celestial objects. After a careful look though, a
small window of good perspective was found.
Illumination conditions were excellent at the time
of capture that gave the opportunity to make a composition of consecutive images
with the help of Startrails programme. The dimming of the crescent moon as it
enters thicker layers of the atmosphere is clearly seen. Canon EOS 450D and 70-200 F2.8 lens at 90mm, ISO
200, F 8.0, 16 exposures of 0.3 seconds.
