Sharpless 241 is the nebula at the center of the image. It has a bight knot of nebulosity along with a fan that heads towards the north east. Sh2-241 is located approximately 17,200 light-years away in Auriga.
van den Berg 65 (BD+30 1096) is the bright star at the center of the blue nebulosity at the center bottom. It is located approximately 3,500 light-years away. The nebulosity is actually cataloged as Ced 61, DG 86 and LBN 823 among others.
