Seeing 3/5, transparency 2/5 (partly cloudy and haze)
2010/04/11  (started 01:00 UT)

22.5 minute (45 sec. single exposures) using CCDSoft
Dark reduction and sigma clipping combine using Deepskystacker

Televue NP101is, SBIG ST8300M and Losmandy GM8 mount
Astronomik CLS filter

This wonderful star formation region lies at an estimated distance between 6,500 and 10,000 light years from earth. It is located in the constellation Carina the keel between the Southern cross and the false cross. One of the favorite targets for southern stargazers.
