Arp 123 consists of NGC 1888, the long, irregular edge on spiral and NGC 1889, the elliptical interacting with it. Both are located approximately 110 million light-years away in Lepus.
The edge on galaxy at the top left is MCG-02-14-015. It is located approximately 132 million light-years away.
