Arp 94

Arp 94 consists of NGC 3227 (UGC 5620 and others), an intermediate spiral galaxy that is interacting with NGC 3226 (UGC 5617 and others), a dwarf elliptical galaxy. Both are located approximately 77 million light-years away in Leo. These are part of Arp’s Spirals with Elliptical Galaxy Companions on Arms group.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours

Imaged February 11th, 14th and 27, 2016 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
