Incredibly dark sky observing along with talks, food, and fun await you in New Mexico, April 29, 2017.

It’s just 2 weeks now to America’s Darkest Sky Star Party, where you can have the time of your life!

It takes place in Lordsburg and Animas, New Mexico, Saturday, April 29, and is open to everyone who loves the night sky.

You can read a complete schedule and register right here:

Astronomy Senior Editor Michael Bakich and I will be giving multiple talks at our facility in Lordsburg, in southwestern New Mexico. We’ll speak about the latest scientific findings in astronomy, strange and challenging deep-sky objects, the 2017 Great American Eclipse, and a preview of what we’ll be observing underneath some of the best skies in the Northern Hemisphere.

The group will then travel down to Animas for observing with a variety of telescopes. Lemme tell you — if there’s anything you’d like to see, with this sky and the scopes on hand, you can see it. The experience will blow your mind.
