About imakeyouseestars
I have a couple of cool telescopes, but still consider myself an astronomy noob. mostly i suck at math, so i try to enjoy the pretty pictures even though i know i will only have limited understanding of what i am looking at. i currently reside in las vegas nevada, and am a member of the las vegas astronomical society. as i work construction in the desert, i wake any time between 3 and 4 am, which puts me in bed around 8 or 9 pm, and greatly hinders my viewing time. las vegas is one of the most light polluted cities, and often has wind, i am afraid i may be destined to be a noob at least untill i retire, if not forever in spite of all this, i am attempting afocal photography. so far, any planets i have attempted have only been blurry light balls, so i am working on the moon. between the clouds and winds, i have only had a few nights to attempt this, and have yet to produce a picture that isnt at least half blurred, i may be at this awhile before i can produce anything worth while (any pointers or constructive criticism is welcomed ^_^) oh, and a nikon coolpix 8700 probably isnt ideal for this, or i have more to learn about my camera.... and if you havent noticed, i have issues with typing capitols and proper punctuation :D
