About Radar

I am a 65 year old teenager who still plays ice hockey and loves looking at the stars all my life. I cannot remember a time in my life when I wasn't fascinated by the universe. Going back to when I was 10 years old I loved going to the Hayden Planetarium in Manhattan.

This spring I took my tax refund and bought a Celestron Nexstar 6". I have it set up so I can take it with me anywhere, I call myself the Self Contained Astronomer. I remember being awake when Voyager flew by Neptune and watched the TV at 3AM to see the pictures it sent back. I am a Geek! not a nerd, but a geek. Geeks get things done!.

I am also a Vietnam Veteran of the US Navy.
