M107 is a loosely packed, magnitude 10.00 globular cluster in the constellation Ophiuchus, about 21,000ly from Earth. It was discovered by Pierre Mechain in 1782 but wasn't added to Messier's list of objects until 1947. This image was captured on June 21, 2009. The temperature was 87° F and is a total of 31 minutes exposure time.
