The Calcium Sun in Early October

In early October 2022 there was another boost in solar activity, this also included increasing numbers of sun spots and faculae. Since my home office is also my primary workspace for the past two years I try to use this benefit for some lunch break astronomy. My small 60mm refractor and a CaK solar wedge help me to capture some nice solar overview images within minutes to follow the current activities of our solar cycle from my own garden.. While a remote telescope operation might be feasible I am always glad to have some outdoor minutes to relax from the daily work...
