Partial Solar Eclipse March 20, 2015 captured from Moscow, Russia.
It was a long time to wait for a new partial eclipse since the last one – January 4, 2010.
The Solar crescent looked stunning during the maximum (0.66) phase of the eclipse. It was very interesting to observe that a warm spring day (+10°С) temporary changed to a chill end of winter during the maximum phase. The temperature dropped down to +6°С, and the rays of Sun wasn't as warm as they were before the beginning of the eclipse.
Telescope: William Optics Megrez 72 APO + Coronado SolarMax 40 filter.
Mount: AstroTrac.
Camera: PointGrey Grasshopper.
Stack of 1200 frames was aligned, averaged and deconvolution was applied.
