Very active Sun

On a very hot Pentecost Sunday I had the opportunity to create this panorama of our Sun in the light of the Hydrogen Alpha Line. The structure of the Sun and the protuberances were captured in the same videos but later on enhanced a little bit.

Telescope : Coronado PST (standard version)
Camera : TIS DMK 21AU04.AS, Coronado Barlow 2x
Videos : 17 separate videos captured (2.000 frames, 1/500sec per frame)

Stacking : AviStack 2, 1.000 out of 2.000 frames used
Sharpening : Giotto
Compositing : AutoPano 2.5
Processing : PaintShop Pro (Color, Gamma)

The real hard work lay in creating the panorama out of 17 single stacked pictures. In this case AutoPano did the best job in recognizing the small structures on the Sun's surface and bringing it all together.
