This is as close as I could get to a perfect Last Quarter Moon. The actual time this image was made was 06:51:05 AM CST on 02-03-2013 making it one hour, five minutes and 55 seconds short of being perfectly timed. The rising Sun and wind gusts made it impossible for me to continue. This image was made with a 5 inch
Apochromatic
Refractor at
f9
, a 1/30 second exposure and an ISO of 100. A Losmandy G8 mount, Cannon 60Da astro camera and a Baader polorizing filter were also used
