The transit of Venus at roughly mid transit, photographed in hydrogen alpha. It shows prominences around the solar limb, the hydrogen alpha network on the solar disk, plages around sunspot groups, filaments, near the plages, which are prominences in silhouette against the solar disk, and the silhouette of Venus.
