Location: Haleakala, Maui, Hawaii. Time: 18:27:54 HST.
This is the black drop effect associated with the 3rd contact during the transit of Venus of June 5, 2012. The black drop effect was somewhat more subdued during the 3rd contact, when the Sun was much lower and closer to the horizon, than it was during 2nd contact when the Sun was almost directly overhead.
