From Copernicus to Plato (Annotated) 10 June 2011

On the night of June 10, 2010, we captured several different images of the waxing gibbous Moon to put together this 5-panel mosaic. The moon was 9.54 days old and 72.2% illuminated. Many craters and mountains, some mare, and a valley can be seen in this mosaic. (North is to the right in this image)

Telescope: Celestron C8 @ f/10
Accessories: Atik EFW2
Filters: Baader LRGB
Mount: Orion Atlas EQ-G controlled by EQMOD performance tuned by Astrotroniks
Camera: Imaging Source DMK31
Exposure: between 1/120s - 1/77s
Gain: 500 each panel
Length: 1:30 each panel
Acquisition: IC Capture.AS (Uncompressed AVI) 30fps
Processing: Registax 6: highest 10% quality frames all panels; ImagesPlus v4.0: R-L Deconvolution; PSCS5: mosaic creation, curves, Noise Ninja, annotations
