We had good conditions on the night of June 10, 2011, allowing us to capture
many images of the waxing gibbous Moon. Although the Moon was just 9.54 days
old, it was still very bright (72.2% illuminated). This image is composed of two
seperate images that were "stitched" together to form a mosaic. We found this
region to be interesting because it contains lots of craters that vary in size
and depth. We even captured Rupes Recta, the dark diagonal line toward to
top of the image, just below a small, bright crater. (North is to the right in
this image)
