The green flash

This is a photo of a green flash detaching from the rising solar disk. In  the foreground we see the ancient temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, Greece. Capture was done more than a mile away from the temple, that's why the sun looks so large. It is a Mock Mirage type of green flash, caused by atmospheric temperature inversion.

Canon EF 70-200 camera; F2.8 lens; 2x converter; exposure of 1/160.
