NGC 225

NGC 225, also known as the Pommier Sailboat Cluster, is an open cluster located approximately 2,150 light-years away in Cassiopeia. The nebulosity is cataloged at van den Bergh 4 (vdB4).

Other objects include the open cluster Stock 24 to the right (west) of NGC 225 and several dark nebulae including LDN 1300, 1302, TGU H818 and others.

Luminance – 12x600s – 120 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

240 minutes total exposure – 4 hours

Imaged from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri (a red zone) on September 22nd and October 2nd, 2015 with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90DT at f/6.7 603mm.
