NGC 6712 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Scutum.

Captured by Tim Lockhart from my backyard in Bowling Green KY.

ABOUT THE IMAGE

DATE/TIME:  The evening of August 29th, 2013.

CAMERA:  Canon XSI, 450Da

TELESCOPE:  Celestron C9.25 SCT @ F/6.3

MOUNT:  Celestron CGE Pro

ISO SETTING:  800

EXPOSURES:  19

EXPOSURE LENGTH:  200sec.

TOTAL EXPOSURE LENGTH:  1hr, 3min, 20sec.

SUBTRACTIONS:  16 dark-frames, 40 flat frames, 1 6dark-flat frames

CAPTURE SOFTWARE:  Maxim DL

STACKING SOFTWARE:  Deep Sky Stacker

PROCESSING:  Photoshop CS3
