Jupiter and Io

The seeing was very good on the night of November 9, 2012 in Southeastern Pennsylvania, 4/5.  Good seeing is a very rare occurence especially this time of year in Pennsylvania.  Using a Meade LX50 10" SCT and an Imaging Source DFKAU04 camera, I was able to stack the best 900/2000 frames with Registax 5 and further enhance the image with Photoshop CS5.  Despite the fact the GRS was on the other side of the planet at the time of the image, the visible cloud detail and close proximity of Io made the view quite amazing!
