NGC 2174 Monkey Head Nebula

This is the hydrogen emissions nebula NGC2174 in the Orion constellation, often referred to as the Monkey Head Nebula. The “eye” of the figure is an open cluster of stars that is probably the source of the nebula. This image combined 5 hours of exposures with my 8” Meade ACF LX200 and the ASI2600MC camera with ten hours of exposures with the 80mm Meade APO and the ASI294MC Pro, processed with APP and PS.
