M1 in HaRGB

M1 (NGC 1952, Taurus A or Sh2-244) – the Crab Nebula – is a supernova remnant (1054 AD) located approximately 6500 light-years away in Taurus.

Ha – 25x1800s – 750 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

870 minutes total exposure – 14 hours 30 minutes

RGB imaged February 3rd and 4th, 2016 with Ha captured January 2nd, 3rd and 5th and November 13th and 14th, 2021 at Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
