An upcoming wedding in the family, just a few days away, was inspiration to go after The Heart. IC 1805 is a large emission nebula in the Constellation Cassiopeia. An open star cluster, Melotte 115 is located in the center and the bright nebula in the bottom right is know as the fished Nebula (IC 1795). The Heart is about 7,500 light-years away and is about 107 light-years across. This image was captured in my backyard using an 80 mm Triplet, Modified Canon T6i, and the Optolong L-eXtreme filter. The image was made from a stack of 107 individual exposures of 180 sec ISO 1600, for a total exposure of 5.35 hours. Processed in PixInsight and Photoshop.
