Sharpless 2-269

Sh2-269 (LBN 876) is a bright nebula with a dark dust lane located approximately 17,200 light-years away in Orion. The bright (5.6 mag) star to the left (east) is HD 43112 / HIP 29678.

Ha – 12x1800s – 360 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

480 minutes total exposure – 8 hours

Imaged over six nights in March, 2016 from Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
