Four Barnard objects in Cepheus

Barnard 160 (LDN 1088) is the large, reversed ‘E’ dark nebula at the center of the image.

Barnard 162 is the dark nebula to the left (East) of B160.

Barnard 163 (LDN 1106) is the dark nebula above B162 at the top left of the image.

Barnard 365 is part of the complex of dark nebulae that also includes LDN 1087 at the top right of the image.

The small Ha region at the bottom right is Sharpless 128 (LBN 443).

All of these are located just above the Elephant Trunk Nebula (IC 1396). All of the Barnards are part of the Astronomy League’s Dark Nebulae Program.

Luminance – 18x600s – 180 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

300 minutes total exposure – 5 hours

Imaged from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri (a red zone) on November 13th and 14th, 2015 with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90DT at f/6.7 603mm.
