The Cocoon Nebula (IC 5146)

IC5146 or The Cocoon Nebula is a Reflction/Emission nebula in the Constellation Cygnus. It is a stellar nursery and with a bright star at center estimated to be only 100,000 years old. Intergrated with a small star cluster and it is approax. 4000 light years away.

Equipment: LX200ACF 12 in. OTA, F6.3, CGE mount, ST2000xm ccd, AO8, CFW9, Astronomik LRGB filter set.
