The Sh2-254 to Sh2-258 Complex

Taken on 1/11/2010 to 2/12/2010 in Chino Valley, AZ
RCOS 12.5" Ritchey-Chrétien w/ an SBIG STL-11000 camera using Astrodon filters
Exposure Details:
Lum    240 min (16 x 15 min)
RGB    225 min ( 5 x 15 min each)

North is to the top.
From left to right the objects are:
Sh2-258, 255, 257, 256 (below and to the right of 257) and the largest, on the right, is Sh2-254.

The Sh2-254 to Sh2-258 complex is located about 8000 light-years away, toward the constellation of Orion. The structure is embedded in a large molecular cloud, centered between Sh2-255 and 257.
