The Orion Nebula (M42)

This is my new Skywatcher Pro 80mm APO's First Light! I'm really happy with the star shapes and lack of blooming that this scope shows. This shot is a stack of 38x42s. I've worked very hard at keeping the core detail while bringing out the extended dimmer nebula in a single stack (as opposed to doing a "core overlay" which is common with M42. You can easily make out the 4 stars in the Trapezium.
