The Horsehead Nebula (B33)

IC 434 is the bright nebula that sits behind the Horsehead Nebula (Barnard 33) in Orion.

Taken through LB-0001: 24-inch (0.61-meter) RC Optical Systems Ritchey-Chretien reflector at f/8.0 with ion-milled optics on an RC Optical Systems Professional Series Equatorial Fork Mount, Apogee Alta U42 CCD camera, Hydrogen-alpha image with 2,232 seconds of exposure
