The Triangulum Galaxy (M33) is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Triangulum. This galaxy lies 3 million light-years from Earth and about half the size of our Milky Way galaxy, M33 is the third-largest member of our Local Group of galaxies following the Andromeda galaxy (M31) and the Milky Way. Messier 33 can be seen visually with the naked eye under exceptionally good seeing conditions with no light pollution.
