NGC 205 in Andromeda

One of the satellite galaxies of M31 in Andromeda, NGC 205, is a large bright elliptical galaxy. It is so elliptical that it is twice as long as it is wide, giving it a Hubble classification of E5. However, it is atypical in that most elliptical galaxies lack dust, but NGC 205 shows some dust clouds silhouetted near its bright nucleus. Although sometimes referred to as M110, it actually was not included in Messier's catalog.
