Arp 29 (NGC 6946, Caldwell 12, UGC 11597, the Fireworks Galaxy and others) is an intermediate spiral galaxy located approximately 22 million light-years away on the border of Cepheus and Cygnus. It is highly obscured by one of the arms of our Milky Way galaxy.

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours
Imaged October 23rd and 25th, 2016 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
