Arp 206

Arp 206 consists of NGC 3432 (UGC 5986, VV 11, VV 11a and others), the long, irregular galaxy and UGC 5983 (VV 11b and others), the dwarf irregular galaxy visually just off the southern edge of NGC 3432. Distance estimates are between 27 and 34 million light-years away in Leo Minor.

Luminance – 25x600s – 250 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

370 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 10 minutes

Imaged January 21st, 25th and 26th, 2017 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
