IC 1613 (Caldwell 51) is an irregular dwarf galaxy located approximately 2.4 million light-years away in Cetus. It is a member of the Local Group along with our own Milky Way.
Luminance – 14x1800s – 420 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x900s – 120 minutes each – binned 2x2
780 minutes total exposure – 13 hours
Imaged over seven nights in November and December, 2016 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
