This is a labeled version of the Andromeda Galaxy I submitted to this gallery last year. Globular Clusters are labeled in blue, Open Clusters in purple. I found all these objects on the online Atlas of The Andromeda Galaxy (http://ned.ipac.caltech.edu/level5/ANDROMEDA_Atlas/Hodge_contents.html), and transferred over to my image. Also labeled are M32, NGC 205, and Hubble Var, which shows the location (barely visible in the Image) of the Cepheid Variable Hubble discovered which set the modern distance for the spiral nebulae. This image taken with celestron 14 telescope with hyper star lens at f1.9 and a Nikon D800 dslr. It is eight 90 second images combined and processed with Pixinsight software.
