NGC 772 is a peculiar galaxy in Aries, part of a small group of galaxies. NGC 770 is the largest companion, an elliptical galaxy shown below center in this image. Faint tidal streams can be seen below the main galaxy, no doubt caused by interaction with the other galaxies in the group. This image was taken over a two-night period in October and November 2014. I used a PlaneWave 12.5" CDK scope and a Quantum Scientific QSI-640ws camera working at f/8. Final LRGB integration was 10.1 hours from a dark-sky location near Anza, CA.
