I captured this image of the Milky Way Galaxy over the Atlantic Ocean at Emerald Isle Beach, NC on Aug. 30. I used my Nikon D5000 and 18-55 mm lens set at 18mm with a 30 second exposure at f3.5 with an ISO of 1250. The ocean was tinted by the sodium vapor lights on the houses behind me.
